Crew & Time Guidelines

  • We offer two delivery options for interstate and long-distance moves, allowing you to choose what best fits your timeline and budget:

    1. Expedited Delivery
This option provides a dedicated truck for your shipment, ensuring privacy, direct transport, and faster delivery – typically within 2–5 days, depending on distance. Prices for expedited delivery start at $3,000, with final costs based on distance and move size.

    2. Regular Delivery
A more economical option, regular delivery may include a Consolidated (combined shipment), allowing for shared transportation costs. Delivery typically occurs within 21 business days or sooner, and pricing starts at $2,000 – often up to 40% lower than expedited service.

Long-Distance Moving San Diego

We were very pleased with the moving team from Man With A Truck Moving Co. Russ, Vahid, and Kirill were fast and extremely respectful of our belongings. I wasn't sure if the distance of moving from Orange County to the Inland Empire would be a problem, but it didn't seem to be an issue with this company. Rates are reasonable given they include the truck, labor, and handling of your stuff with care.

FAQ – Interstate Moving from San Diego

What's unique about San Diego interstate moving?

San Diego presents specific considerations: high military population requiring flexible scheduling, biotech equipment needing special handling, year-round outdoor gear requiring extra space, border proximity affecting international moves, and no weather seasonality meaning year-round demand. Our interstate moving from San Diego addresses these unique factors.

When is the best time for long distance moving from San Diego?

Unlike most cities, San Diego's perfect weather means no seasonal advantages. However, avoid May-August (military PCS season), December holidays, and June (highest demand). October-November and January-March offer better rates and truck availability for San Diego interstate moving. Book 6-8 weeks ahead regardless of season.

Transit times for long-distance move?

Transit times vary by distance. Expedited Delivery average is 3-5 days (door to door), and for the Consolidated option, regular delivery, it may take up to 21 days. We provide estimated delivery windows during your quote consultation. Stay informed with real-time GPS tracking and live status updates, so you always know where your shipment is.

What items can't go on interstate moving trucks?

Federal regulations prohibit certain items during San Diego interstate moving: hazardous materials (propane, paint, chemicals), perishable food and plants, ammunition and firearms (special handling available), important documents (should travel with you), and high-value items (jewelry, cash). We provide complete prohibited list during consultation.
